A Near-Term Producer of Fertilizers in an Area Reliant on Imports

  • We are resuming coverage on this company. Since our previous report in 2018, the company has expanded its portfolio by adding two phosphate properties. This company currently holds three phosphate properties.

  • As New Zealand and Australia import most of its phosphate needs from Morocco/Russia/China, there is a strong need for domestic production.

  • This company is aiming to advance the Korella project to production by Q4-2023, and the Makatea project by 2025. Although both projects do not have NI 43-101/JORC resource estimates, historic exploration indicates that both have potential for producing 250,000 tonnes per annum (Ktpa) of phosphate for 10+ years. These projects are also prospective for rare earth elements.
